Professional bio

Dr Neelam Ahirwar is a full time consultant, breast oncoplastic surgeon at Zydus Cancer Hospital, Ahmedabad. She is one of the few qualified female surgical oncologist practising breast surgery as a sub-speciality after completion of Doctorate of National Board (DNB). She believes in providing comprehensive breast care with evidence-based treatment and maintaining quality of life care with aesthetic preservation through breast conservation surgeries and breast reconstructions.

She is actively involved in spreading awareness about cancer prevention, risk assessment, genetic evaluation, male breast cancer and cancer running in families.

Her vision is to defeat cancer with early detection, public education, application of new research methods to prevent recurrences and provide best pain and palliative care.
